For lack of a better word; cinematic should be the word that corresponds to those higher attributes of structure and detail in written masterpieces, but the word has taken on an entirely different meaning through the many years of influence of Hollywood's sensationalism. (Modern screen writers think this concept is best expressed by an abundant use of character motive indicated by earlier short takes of personality traits which purport to conveniently explain later character actions/decisions, which when combined with a formulaic format, results in a simple, two-dimensional approach to screenplay structure.)
